Each year our friends at Duplin Winery monitor the Muscadine crop in The Vineyards to see when our grapes are ready for harvesting. Due to current market conditions and an overall heavy fruit crop in the industry, Duplin Winery will not be harvesting any of our grapes this season. The good news is, that means more for you, and our grapes are now ripe for picking!
River Landing Property Owners and Members are invited to help themselves to the Muscadine grapes available in all areas of The Vineyards. This includes the vines from NC Highway 41 all the way down the Vineyards Parkway, as well as the lush crop of fruit in the rear of the neighborhood which is typically reserved for commercial harvest. Over the years, many residents have used grapes from our Vineyards to make jams, jellies, and other delicious goodies. So feel free to pick your own and be sure to tag us on Facebook (@riverlanding) and Instagram (@riverlandingnc) to show us the "fruits" of your labor.
Happy harvesting and enjoy!
