Don't forget to paint a leaf!

The Arts Council Needs Your Leadership

The Governor Wentworth Arts Council is looking for members to guide it through 2023. We are looking for anyone who is excited about what the arts can do in the Lakes Region, no experience necessary. Do you have ideas for exhibits, events, or classes? We'd love to hear from you!

If you are interested in learning more about becoming a board member please contact Liz at info@governorwentworthartscouncil.org

"Frolic in the Fall" at our Local Libraries

Paint a leaf and display it at your local library to showcase what it means to "Frolic in the Fall"! Take inspiration from nature, your friends and family, or anything you choose! Share this opportunity with your friends and family, everyone is welcome to participate.

About the event

Share your love of fall and the outdoors by painting a leaf for public display. Everyone is encouraged to participate! It is free and fun for all ages. There will be a People's Choice Award winner who will receive a special prize from the Governor Wentworth Arts Council.

October 1-14: Pick up your free leaf cutout at 86 Kings Hwy, New Durham, NH 03855 or email bbrown201162@yahoo.com for other arrangements. Take a leaf and a piece of sandpaper from the covered porch and sign the registration form. Leave the form on the porch. Sand, paint and decorate your leaf. Keep in mind that your leaf will be outside for two weeks! When you are done with your leaf, return it to the same porch or email bbrown201162@yahoo.com.

October 14: All leaves must be returned by this date to be included in the "Frolic in the Fall" display.

October 15-31: The leaves will be displayed at the Wolfeboro Public Library, Tuftonboro Free Library, Ossipee Library and New Durham Library. There will be a QR code to scan for people to vote for their favorite leaf! Or they can vote here: https://forms.gle/4y45eUxbFn47xAWZ8. The People's Choice Award winner will win a special prize from the Governor Wentworth Arts Council. Our friend, David, will be visiting each library, see if you can spot him!

October 31: The People's Choice Award winner will be announced! The leaves will be removed. You can pick up your leaf from the display anytime during the day. All remaining leaves will be collected and you can pick them up at 86 Kings Hwy.
