A Message From Michelle
Nouns - Employees, team members, colleagues, workforce.
Adjectives - Dedicated, committed, passionate, driven.

Each day, 365 days a year, around the clock, our employees leave their families and travel to a place that others call ‘home’. They have been called to a vocation to serve others who are no longer able to serve themselves. They are men and women dedicated to the purpose of touching another human being and making them feel safe. Their hands become the hands of a son, daughter, husband or wife; never meant to replace, only to assure and console between visits. Their smiles and laughter evoke laughter and smiles from a person who yearns to feel joy again.

Our employees grow to love our residents and they grieve them when they are no longer with us. They comfort families when they often need comforting themselves. They watch great- grandchildren grow into toddlers as they visit and they celebrate the small victories of watching someone walk, or speak or swallow...again.

Our employees ‘clap out’ a resident who has achieved success in rehab and can return home. They stand side-by-side in the hallway and cheer as the resident and their family leave us. They feel success too!

Whether they are in Nursing, Personal Care, Housekeeping, Dietary, Rehab, Activities, Maintenance or the Business Office...all of them are focused on the needs of our residents.

As you’re aware, we are growing closer to fulfilling the next chapter of the legacy left to us by Russell Pickering and guided by the hands of Sid Yates. This is also the time that we need to grow our employee base. We are currently interviewing and hiring positions in many departments throughout the building and we encourage any of you who may know someone meeting the ‘definition’ to share our excitement! We will be holding an “ Open Interview Day” on Friday, February 28th. We are looking for people who are committed and want to make a difference....come join our team!

Happy February!

Executive Director
