A Message From Michelle
The ball drops, the clock ticks past one more second, and just like that...we enter a New Year and a New Decade!

It inspires many to consider what changes they may try to incorporate into their lives for the coming year (I refuse to call them resolutions because we all know, those are meant to be broken!). But it’s a time of reflecting into our past but with the opportunity to look forward as well.

Pickering Manor is entering it’s New Beginning as well! Yes, we were actually born in January, 1963, but this year, we will be redefined and will mark 2020 as the year we reinvented ourselves and what we are able to provide to our community. It’s exciting and we all can’t wait to share it with you! It’s taking a bit longer than we expected, but with that wait comes a renewed sense of knowing that we have committed ourselves to joining together to build an incredible home for our residents and their families.

We also have a robust Capital Campaign underway to assist us with our project and we appreciate the generosity of so many of you! We ask that those who love us for what we have done for your families in the past and for those that appreciate the mission that we are fulfilling for the senior community of our future consider making a contribution and know that you were an integral part of our New Beginning! We cannot do this without you...

So as this new year continues to unfold before us providing us with a blank slate to write our story, let’s all be sure to consider that it should be one of which our children and grandchildren should be proud. In the spirit of MLK, let us serve each other while serving our community; but most of all, be kind.

Happy January!
