A Message From Michelle
It’s March and Spring is in the air! The days are getting longer and the crocus are peeking out from their winter hibernation...the harbinger of better things to come! Walk out into that sun and take a deep breath; change is in the air!

We have all heard the quote that ‘Change is Inevitable’ and it could not be more true. Change is the ushering in of new experiences; fresh ideas and a different perspective to life’s adventures. It’s also necessary. Without change, we have a tendency to accept mediocrity because we’re not challenged with the concept of a new perspective.

Change is exciting! Our staff and our residents are about to experience change on a regular basis...and while this may test our problem-solving abilities, it also invites and inspires creativity. We look forward to moving into the next phases of our project because with each day and with the changes that take place, it brings us closer to our vision for Pickering Manor.

And on somewhat of a different note, so much is happening around us; both at Pickering Manor and in the news. I’d like to assure you that we are invested in making sure that our residents, staff, families and Pickering community are safe. We are continuing to follow our own infection control policies while being vigilant with the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the local, state and national Departments of Health. We ask that you be mindful of how fragile and compromised our residents are and that you refrain from visiting if you are not well; if you have traveled outside the country in the past 14 days; or if you have been in contact with anyone who may be suspected of having the Covid 19 virus. We welcome your calls and we have the ability to Skype if you are unable to visit. We ask for your continued trust; we do not take this lightly and we are committed to our mission of loving and caring for the elders in our care.

Happy March!
