Dear Friends,
Spring has arrived at Pickering Manor, and with it comes a season full of energy, celebration, and community connection. After months of cold weather and bare trees, it is truly a joy to see Pickering Manor come alive with blooming flowers, fresh air, and the smiling faces of residents, staff, and volunteers enjoying the season together.
March and April brought so many wonderful moments to celebrate. We were thrilled to announce the winners of our 13th Annual Car Raffle — a beloved tradition that never fails to bring excitement and community spirit across Pickering Manor. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who purchased tickets and to our generous sponsors whose support makes this event so meaningful for our residents.
This season also gave us the opportunity to celebrate the incredible volunteers and Auxiliary members who pour their hearts into making Pickering Manor such a special place. April is National Volunteer Month, and we couldn't think of a better time to express our deepest gratitude for the amazing community of people who give their time and talents to our residents. We celebrated our volunteers with a beautiful brunch, and we are so thankful for all that they do. From musicians who fill our halls with melody, to pet visitors who bring four-legged joy, to those who share their talents in crafts, yoga, and so much more — our volunteers touch lives in countless ways every single day. From the elegant Fashion Show Luncheon Fundraiser at Northampton Country Club to friendly helpers at our Car Raffle drawing, their dedication and generosity continue to enrich the lives of our residents in ways that are truly immeasurable.
Across our neighborhoods, our Life Enrichment team has been busy filling each day with joy — from spring crafts and flower arranging to Pizza & Beer Tuesdays, Phillies Opening Day celebrations, and sunny afternoons on the patio. At Pickering Manor, there is always something bringing people together and making each day a little brighter.
In this edition of the Pickering Post, you'll find highlights from all of these moments, updates on living availability, volunteer opportunities, upcoming Pickering Cafe events, and so much more.
As always, we are grateful for your continued support and interest in our community.
With Appreciation,
Your Friends at Pickering
