As always, please keep in mind that weather conditions moving forward
will continue to impact our rate of progress.
In the last month, it's been primarily about ICE removal from the surface of the dome membrane. With the changing temperatures, both snow and water have built up at times requiring additional patience!
Snow and ice must be off the membrane to allow for inflation and assessment of further possible damage. External repairs of damage suffered has been mostly addressed but until the dome is more fully inflated, the fact remains that there could still be rips/tears that require attention. Internal repairs required (e.g.: surface or lighting) are still to be assessed and to move forward with these, we must inflate the dome. The inflation process requires us to pay close attention to wind conditions on an hourly basis.
All of this work is being closely monitored by Facility and Club staff (as well as by City staff and our Insurance carrier) in conjunction with dome specialists.
At this point in time, we still assume the facility will not be operational for early April 2022, and we have set April 15th as our new target date to resume operations.
