Pickering Soccer Centre Update
May 27, 2021

On May 20, 2021, the Government of Ontario announced that they will be easing the restrictions on certain outdoor activities and they have released a new three step “Roadmap to Safely Reopen the Province”.
In Step 1 of the Government’s Roadmap to Reopening Ontario, organized team sport training, will only be up to 10 participants at a time – OUTDOORS ONLY. The estimated start date for Step 1 of the Government of Ontario’s new reopening framework is June 14, 2021.

The current Stay-at-Home order is in place until June 2, 2021 therefore, at the present time, or until more information is available, no organized team sports such as soccer is permitted under the Government Public Health orders.

Understandably, team sports organizations will be focused on the June 14 reopening date.
Step 1 = 60% --> Step 2 = 70% --> Step 3 = 70-80%

In keeping with the mandated 21 days required between step 1 to 2 and step 2 to 3, when combined with the continued positive progress on vaccines and transmission reduction, we estimate that the Pickering Soccer Centre will be in a position to resume booking activities once we enter Step 3 around about the middle of July.

July will also bring us closer to formalizing our fall/winter indoor activities. We are anticipating an enthusiastic response to the resumption of physical activities when we all get the green light.

Please give some thought to what your needs may be and let our Booking Supervisor know how your plans are shaping up so that we can allocate your facility requirements before the space is otherwise spoken for!

While many of you will be basking in the beautiful Canadian outdoors, hopefully we will be able to host you indoors where there are no bugs, no rain, and we offer fully accessible, SAFE and CLEAN state of the art amenities for all to enjoy.

Stay Safe and we will see you Soon!
Our website will continue to be the ‘go to’ place for all the information you need on the Club and the Facility.

We attempt to respond to all emails and voice messages within one business day, but email is the preferred method of contact as we may be working remotely.
