PSC Wins Silver at 2019 Ontario ParaSport Games
Pickering Soccer Clubs Blind Soccer team picked up Silver at the 2019 Ontario ParaSport Games being held across Durham Region this weekend. In only their first competition and having struggled on Day One with two defeats the team impressed everyone on Day Two with a strong 3-0 defeat of Ottawa Blind Soccer and a resilient 4-3 win over Kitchener who eventually took Gold. While three of the squad were visually impaired the team was supported by U21 players Trey Thompson, Ezz Mosbah and Elijah Joseph with Coach Pat Thompson. All players had to wear blindfolds so there was no advantage to be had. A special thanks to our U14 OPDL Girls who took up the Games Organizers challenge to 'Be the Roar' and support our home grown team.
