One Little Thing

Often we postpone change because the actions seems too big or overwhelming.   We don't embark on a healthier path because there are just too many different choices we'd have to make.  We don't explore travel because there are too many options and too many things to plan.  We don't pursue  our dreams because that would require a huge commitment.

So what might happen if we committed to change or try one little thing? Pick something you've been thinking about or something someone can join you in.  Pick something small but that will have a repetitive impact.  I will call one friend I haven't talked to in awhile and I will pick one person every week.  I will drink tea instead of coffee one day a week.  I will walk 5 minutes every day at lunch.  Once a month I will visit someplace I haven't been before within an hour's drive from my house.

Pick one little thing and allow your mind to believe, "I can do this!"  That belief might be a change in itself!  Taking small steps with faith builds the confidence to continue to take steps and move in the direction of a happier, more spiritually connected life.  Begin today!

ULV in partnership with LCC

Last spring, The Lehigh Conference of Churches received a grant to help those who have Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). This program provides support for those engaged in treatment and recovery to prevent overdose-related deaths. Many of the people being helped have young children or are pregnant and need baby and toddler clothing and supplies for their children.
ULV will be collecting  diapers (except for newborn size), formula, baby wipes and shampoo as well as baby and toddler clothing. New or gently used clothing would be welcome. Collection boxes will be inside the doors as you enter from the back parking lot through October 13 .
Thank you to TerĂ© O'Malley for taking on coordination of this service project.

Have you designated your charity on AmazonSmile as Unity of Lehigh Valley?  We appreciate you!

What are you grateful for?

Everyone, including Recovery Dharma, is grateful for the cool air from our new air conditioning system!  How blessed we are to be refreshed on these muggy days!

We deeply appreciate John Thomas' gift of song!  He saved the premiere of his newest song for our Sunday service.  And the choir voices providing back-up added a richest to the sound and the gifts.  We are blessed by great music every Sunday.

If you are grateful for something at ULV, send a message to the office:

Yes, the ULV Music Playlist is still available.  It is updated each week and now has a permanent home on our email near the top below the weekly schedule and the link to our website.
