Say Cheese! Picture Day at HCA November 4
With the extension of the summer uniform to October 31st, we have re-scheduled our school picture day to Monday, November 4. There are no gym classes on Mondays, so every student should be in their full winter uniform for pictures. This includes the school sweater.

Picture order forms should be arriving at the school soon. We will notify parents via E-blast when they are sent home with students.
Tell a Friend, Tell a Neighbor, Tell Everybody!!! HCA Open House November 12th
Holy Cross Academy will hold our first Open House event of the year on Tuesday, November 12th at 9:00 a.m. It is a great chance for prospective families to tour the school, see our classes in action, and learn more about how their child can become a Holy Cross Academy Crusader.

Please help spread the word to any parent or guardian you know whose child could benefit from a high-quality Catholic education.
Reminder: Mid-trimester Grades
With our grades live 24/7 on PowerSchool, parents can access their child's grades at any point during the trimester. Holy Cross Academy joins many schools in our Diocese in being green and not printing mid-trimester report cards. Now is a great time to check in on your child's progress if you have not monitored it for a while.

If you are having difficulty logging into PowerSchool please contact Mrs. Burke who can assist you. She can be contacted at [email protected] .

All Saints Day Attire for Grades K-5
Friday, November 1st is our first day for HCA students to wear their winter uniform this year. Following school Mass that day, students in grades K-5 are invited to dress as their favorite saint. Costumes do not need to be elaborate and need to be something students can change into unassisted.
Date Nights At St. Mary's

Scrip Newsletter
Do you need some help getting started with Scrip? Here is a great Scrip tip from the Great Lakes Scrip Company!

Scrip tip #1 - Use scrip retailers for all of your expenses. By budgeting first, you can see how much money you have to spend in each different category. Then choose your favorite scrip retailer for every category. When you use scrip for gas, groceries, clothes, prescriptions, and other everyday shopping, your rebates really start to add up. Not only are you sticking to the budget, you're also earning for your organization!

Scrip is an easy way to help support the school. We raised close to $10,000 last year and need your help to raise even more this year. Look on-line at the list of retailers that can be ordered. While you are there, set up an account on www.shopwithscrip.com and order your cards on-line. No coming to the Scrip table. Orders can be sent home through a child’s folder or picked up in the office. You can even pay on-line with PrestoPay. Use our school code, 7B876EBB188L2, to set up an account today!
Please direct questions to the Scrip Coordinator at [email protected] .
December 8 - HCA Fundraiser at Barnes and Noble
Did you know Barnes & Noble cards are available for purchase through the SCRIP Program? By purchasing Barnes & Noble SCRIP cards, you can boost your support to our school two-fold.  SCRIP provides 8% back  to our school. On December 8, 2019, Barnes & Noble will also provide a percentage of the net sales back to HCA.

Barnes & Noble offers books, Café items, gift products, and much more. Mention HCA Voucher 12557542 at the time of your purchase. Avoid the rush, purchase your SCRIP Barnes & Noble cards today and come show your support at Barnes & Noble on December 8th!

Thanks,
Rosemary Brown
