Special thanks to Ms. Lurene Kelley for updating our site!

Our parents are the BEST!
Our city is a better place because the
MUSTANGS get involved!

These are OUR students!
SPECIAL THANKS TO OUR ALUMNI,
IN THE E-CLUB !!
Class of 2020 male seniors learn to tie neck ties as well as receive fashion tips from our friends at K& G Fashion SuperStore and the E-Club, East Alumni Association. This was part of the newly created Mustangs 4 Men mentoring program started by Dr. Robertson. The mentoring program will focus on providing the male senior students at East with the knowledge and skills needed to go from boys to men in an effort to become productive members in our society.
Congratulations to UZone Schools:
Maxine Smith and Campus School!
Schools are eligible for National Blue Ribbon after 5 consistent years of academic excellence.
MSSA won this prestigious award in its FIRST year of eligibility.
Congratulations, MSSA and Campus!
This award means that BOTH schools perform in the
top 1% of schools nationally.
They are the ONLY SCS schools to win this award, and one of six
in the state of Tennessee!
Let's Go Tigers! Let's go Knights!
T-STEM will be next in just a
few short years!
We had our 1st Support Monday
Got an A?
If a student has an A in a core content class on Mondays, then they have the opportunity to pursue other activities outside of the classroom.
.
The students who do not have an A in a content class- yet - have the opportunity to remain in class with the teacher and receive intervention and support so that they, too, can earn an A in the core content classes.
Here are a few choices
for students who have an A...
Intramural volleyball in the gym
Uno cards in the cafeteria
Monopoly with
Coach Headley
Reading and relaxing with friends in the library
Video games in the video game room... or Jump rope fun... I must admit I got an opportunity to join in the jump rope fun- it is harder than it looks :)
Support the
Mustang Cheerleaders
Fundraising is vital for the success of our program. The funds will aid us in traveling to National and local Cheer competitions; purchasing new uniforms; tumbling equipment; and other pertinent expenses. Each participant has a monetary goal, please consider donating or sharing via social media so that they may reach it. Thank you so much for your support.

Way to go, Coach Kuusisto!
A Message from
Ms. Alley, Librarian:
Parents, there is an ongoing problem with Global Protect preventing students from connecting to WiFi at home. Many students are reporting that they cannot connect right now. Please be aware that this is a legitimate claim. I am working with IT to get this resolved and to stay informed about the situation.
The teachers are aware and are working
to ensure students will not be penalized.

Thank you to students who
were able to attend
AP Review Day!
We hosted the AP Review for ALL SCS schools!
Lady Mustangs and Lady Lynx
The Lady Mustangs Soccer team visited Rhodes College to watch the Lady Lynx soccer team take on Millsaps college. Before the game, Coach Katie Chambers and Coach Niki Yarbrough introduced the two teams and each Mustang met their ‘number twin’!
Rhodes College recognized the team during halftime
and announced team statistics.
The girls enjoyed the game! Go Lady Lynx!
You are Sooo T-STEM When...
You are trying out your aviation design project!
You wear the
coolest shoes!

You have the BEST tshirts!
You have a cuddle buddy in your Dual Enrollment Biology Class!
And it is COOL!
Your teachers are dressed alike-
a lot!
And they actually enjoy it... or so they tell Dr. Rob!
The most requested elective is Culinary Arts!
Who doesn't love Coach AC?
Did you know that Ms. Keys is our newest Assistant Principal and that Ms. Massey is the new Director of Admissions?
Great Minds think alike... here is the dynamic duo in sunshine yellow!
Don't forget tomorrow is PICTURE DAY!!!
We are participating in the Bring Your Plane to Work Day again this year!
Does your son/daughter need assistance with the Mustang Monday attire? See Ms. Keys for gently used skirts and ties!
