Greetings!

Interested in a Different Type of Holiday?

While many of our guests join us for a particular type of group holiday, one of the joys of our newsletters is sharing the variety of experiences available at our Garden Ecolodge.

We are always delighted to welcome back guests who return to Morocco not only to reconnect with our team and enjoy all we have to offer, but also to try something new, sometimes stepping just a little outside their comfort zone.

Have you ever considered trying photography?

Most of us have become photographers by default through our smartphones, capturing moments to share with friends and family. With tutored guidance, those everyday snapshots can become something much more meaningful.

You might just discover a new passion, or see Morocco in a whole new way.

Discover Moroccan Life Through a Lens

There is something about Morocco that invites you to slow down… to look more closely… and to truly see.

From the soft morning light over the Atlas Mountains to the rich colours of the souks, everyday life here is full of moments waiting to be captured, a glance, a gesture, a pattern in a doorway, all telling a story.

Our photography holidays are about far more than taking beautiful pictures. They are about connection with people, place and culture.

Set in peaceful gardens just outside the ancient walls of Taroudant, our Ecolodge offers the perfect base: tranquil, inspiring, and just a short walk from the vibrant life of the town.

Alongside this, you’ll explore the rich visual life of Morocco, all with the ease and comfort of our expertly delivered trips.

For Your Comfort

We know that comfort is personal. What feels perfect for one guest may not suit another, and we want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible during their stay.

That’s why we’ve introduced a range of high-quality mattress toppers in our rooms. We now have toppers on all beds that may benefit from a little extra softness or support, including eight large toppers (160–180cm), some of which can be adapted into two singles where needed.

This gives us the flexibility to tailor each bed to your preference, whether you like it firm, soft, or somewhere in between.

It’s a small detail... but one we hope adds to your comfort and enjoyment throughout your stay.

Life in Our Gardens

Our gardens are not just a place to relax, they are alive with nature.

The Ecolodge provides a year-round haven for wildlife. Thanks to our gardens and careful use of recycled water, this green space attracts a variety of birds, insects and small animals throughout the seasons.

Among our regular companions are our three cats, Mischa, Marmalade and new arrival Michou, often seen quietly observing garden life or greeting guests as they pass through.

You may also spot our tortoises, who wander freely through the gardens, basking in the sunshine and quietly going about their day, a gentle reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment. Taroudant enjoys a superb climate and is known as the warmest town in Morocco during the winter months. It is so warm here that tortoises do not need to hibernate, and you too can come and enjoy the sunshine in mid-winter.

Our gardens have been thoughtfully designed, with different zones based on watering needs, soil depth and position. The plants have been carefully chosen not only for their beauty, but also to support both people and wildlife, including drought-resistant and endemic species, as well as olive, date palm, pomegranate and fig trees, all rich in cultural and natural significance.

Above and around you, there is always something to notice, a house bunting in the arches, a bulbul moving through the trees, or even egrets on the roof, part of a migratory route between Europe and Africa, alongside the soft chorus of crickets and the ever-changing rhythms of the day.

All part of the rich wildlife that shares our gardens and surroundings.

Last room left - Sing in the serenity of West Wales

Just one double en-suite room left in the holiday cottages with access to an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Join our Singing & Spa Retreat in West Wales with Pauline Down 18–22 May 2026.

The programme includes two singing sessions each day (indoors and outdoors), spa time in wood-fired hot tubs and saunas, one complimentary yoga session with Louise Cooka well-known and much-loved teacher in West Wales who has led retreats in Morocco for many years. We also offer options to book massage or reflexology.

All enjoyed in the serene Welsh countryside, with a wonderful tutor.

"Singing with Pauline was unexpectedly wonderful, as it had a dimension and quality of touching I had not reckoned with. Through whatever sound emerged from the group Pauline had the ability to hold a guiding connection to heart and soul, like a road for the gift of Harmony to reach home. Beyond words :)"

Travel News

easyJet’s latest flight release means flights are now available to book through to 21 March 2027. However, please do not book your flights until we advise you to do so.

Why fly to Agadir? Agadir is both our nearest airport and our favourite, being small and efficient and just under an hour's drive by a quiet road to Taroudant.

When flying, please consider supporting this remarkable afforestation project. As most of our guests take advantage of the new and existing routes serving Agadir, we always encourage people to offset their journey by making a donation to this excellent organisation that we support.
