Preparedness is a Virtue

This past week was very difficult for many of our friends, colleagues, and community partners in Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Dania Beach, and other municipalities in Broward County due to the historic flooding experienced in the area. We are so grateful to our first responders who have helped the area recover as quickly as possible. When you work in the production business, emergencies can come in the form of weather anomalies, illnesses, no-shows, travel delays, and so much more. It's essential to have a Plan B (through Z) for locations, crew fill-ins, back-up equipment sources...the list goes on. The most successful professionals in the industry are prepared and resourceful in the face of the unexpected.

It was an inspiring, educational, and energetic morning meeting with AAF Broward + Palm Beach for Part 1 of their Film Committee series, "Why is the film industry important to South Florida?", held at General Provisions in downtown Fort Lauderdale!
