ANNOUNCING A NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL RESTAURANTS…"PIE IT FORWARD"

Pie in the Sky is announcing a new partnership with local restaurants, a project that would not only serve our seniors, but also help our community restaurants. The “Pie It Forward” initiative will work with local restaurants to help them weather this storm by purchasing boxed meals, which will then be delivered to our seniors. These restaurants have supported us, and now we have the opportunity to give back to them. After all, we’re all in this together. We are proud to announce that Gas Full Service Restaurant will be the first to participate in this exciting initiative by preparing 217 delicious meals of chicken and rice with vegetables, which will be delivered on May 4th. On May 20th, Purple Olive will prepare 218 culinary delights of pot roast, potatoes, and vegetables for delivery.
“Preparing these meals gives my team hours, which makes us happy at Purple Olive. We are excited to help out a very worthwhile cause.“ - Peter from Purple Olive
"I love that Pie in the Sky looked to support small family-owned restaurants to help feed seniors. Thank you for asking us to be a part of this." - Lindy from Gas Full Service Restaurant
At Pie we always say, “It’s about so much more than food.” These generous restaurants are not only preparing a special meal, they are helping us deliver hope to our seniors in these uncertain times. Please join us in supporting our local restaurants who have been greatly impacted by this crisis. Treat yourself to a special meal, too. Pick up the phone, place an order, or purchase a gift card for a friend. After all, we’re all in this together.

Featuring Lindy Loose and Pie in the Sky
Rosie the Riveter of the 1940s had the slogan: "We Can Do It." Meanwhile, St. Augustine's Rosie the Riveter of 2020 says, "We’re all in this together." Lindy Loose is that St. Augustine version. Lindy, who owns Gas Full Service Restaurant , is teaming up with Pie in the Sky to help low-income families receive food.
WE ARE GRATEFUL
“If you think this is just another day in your life, it’s not just another day. It is a gift, the only gift you have right now, and the only appropriate response is gratefulness. Let the gratefulness overflow into blessings all around you and then it will be a good day”. -  Brother David Steindl-Rast
BUILD A BAG FOR SENIORS
Keep filling your bags. The drop-off date is coming soon. When all this is over, our seniors are going to need to replenish their pantries. Next time you order groceries or go to the store, pick up an extra item or two and build a bag for a senior. It's just that easy and it's something everyone can do safely. When the time is right, you can deliver the bags to our warehouse and we will deliver them to our grateful seniors. Items needed include canned goods, soups and broths, grains, legumes, pasta, rice, noodles, tomato and spaghetti sauce, condiments, juice, bread, crackers, cereal, oatmeal, chips, nuts, cookies, baking staples, peanut butter, jelly jam, vinegar, teas and coffee, basic spices, shelf-stable milk, cleaning products, plastic wrap, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish and hand soap, toiletries, and toilet paper. Thank you in advance for your help.
