Parents and Friends,

The Scrip program is one that has been around here at St. Peter’s for a long time. This gift card fundraising program allows us to improve or fund different things around the school after accumulating over years. A great example of these funds being used is in our new lighting which was installed in December and the painting project which will be completed in the first couple weeks over this coming summer. Both of these projects are being made possible 100% because of the earnings from the Scrip program!

Outside of being much more environmentally friendly and brighter, the new LED lights have an expected return on investment of just under 2 years from energy savings! The new lighting and paint in the hallways and bathrooms in the educational side of the school building will be a great update to our building.

Scrip is a great tool for our schools that benefits both our families with a rebate portion that can be used on tuition or funding a prepaid account and our schools with a rebate portion used for supporting different improvements. WEEKLY WILDCAT UPDATES

Spelling Bee

The annual Spelling Bee is coming up this coming Monday the 11th from 1:30 - 3:00 pm in the Wildcat Gym. Parents of participants only are welcomed to come in and watch if they are able. We will announce the winners in next weeks Pieces of the Rock.

Aide Needed!

We are in need of someone willing to aide in our second grade classroom for the next couple weeks. If you are interested or know someone who would be in this temporary position, please contact Mr. Brune. The position will be a couple hours a week in the mornings Monday through Thursday.

8th Grade Athlete Recognition

This Thursday, we will celebrate our 8th grade basketball players and cheerleaders with 8th grade recognition before the start of each of their games. Tune into the livestream on our Facebook page to watch both the games as well as the 8th grade recognition. Here are our 8th graders being recognized:

National Lutheran Schools Week

National Lutheran Schools week is coming up from January 25-29. Tune into next week's Pieces of the Rock for more information on dress up days and special events going on that week. A great chance to celebrate the tremendous blessing the Lutheran schools are!

Looking Ahead to 2021/2022

All Wildcat Families received an email before Christmas Break about continuous enrollment for the 2021/22 school year. This process allows for a smooth transition for families from one to grade to another. If you have any questions, reach out to the school office or call us at 260-749-5811 for more information.

Parent Teacher League (PTL)

PTL Meeting

Our next PTL Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 14th at 6:00 pm in the school cafeteria. Childcare will be provided, thanks to the ACE PTL Ambassador students. We will see you there!

Chick-fil-A Fundraiser

Mark your calendars on Thursday, January 21st from 5:00-8:00 pm! PTL has worked with Chick-fil-A and are able to bring you a spirit night on January 21st! Our PTL will receive 15% of all orders either placed on the mobile app or by scanning your mobile app when at pick up from 5-8pm. This counts for both drive through and pick up orders. Come support our PTL!

Pastor's Sermon

Pastor Adam McDowell is preaching this weekend. His sermon is titled "Similar Waters". Please take some time to prepare for worship by reading the Bible passages before attending church.

Please join us for worship on Saturday evening at 5:00, Sunday morning at 8:00 or 10:30, or Monday evening at 6:00. The 10:30 service will be live streamed on the church facebook page.

The Congregational Scholarship Update

The Congregational Scholarship that has been on hold due to Covid has been reinstated. Communication, via email and a mailed letter, has been sent to students and parents of the Day School and Concordia Lutheran High School who receive this scholarship. For easy access to the Google Form referenced in the letter use the link below. In Person Worship forms are located in the Ministry Center.

An Opportunity to Offer Time & Talents

The Property Team is lining up volunteers to take a weekend to be on-call to cover sidewalk shoveling and salting around our entrances before & after weekend worship services. The main objective is to keep the walks near each door clear of snow and ice so our members can enter and exit our facility as safely as possible (the major parking lot plowing/salting is already covered).

This is a wonderful family project opportunity if you've been looking for a way to give back together. If this is something you or maybe your family is interested in, please complete the form found at the link below as soon as possible.
