4th Grade Spelling Bee (Final)

We would like to congratulate all of our students who participated in their classroom spelling bees. The top 3 students from each of our 4th grade classes will be competing in the Spelling Bee Final this Tuesday, January 8th beginning at 9:30am in Mrs. Sanders' Classroom. We are asking that only families of the students competing attend the bee due to our limited space and seating. Teachers will be contacting the families of those competing. We will attempt a live broadcast through our facebook page if you would like to tune in or to have out of town/state relatives view the proceedings.

2019 Black Heritage Creative Contest (Oklahoma City Thunder)

From the Oklahoma City Thunder;

We invite your students to participate in the  2019 Black Heritage Creative Contest . This contest challenges  Oklahoma students in kindergarten through 12th grade  to use their creativity in honoring an outstanding individual in black history or an impactful African-American in their lives. Students are encouraged to create an essay, art piece, collage or video describing their hero and how they've had an impact on their life.

Winners in each of five age groups will receive a Thunder prize pack, including four tickets to the Thunder vs. Sacramento Kings home game on Feb. 23, recognition at center court prior to the game, an autographed Thunder item and $500. Select entries will be displayed on the concourse at Chesapeake Energy Arena during the Feb. 23 game.

Your students can enter online, drop off in-person or mail their entries, along with a completed entry form, to the Thunder Corporate offices no later than Feb. 11, 2019.

Thank you, and GO Thunder!
Oklahoma Family Guides

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is excited to share the Oklahoma Family Guides for English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies for Pre-K through 2nd Grade.

The OSDE Family Guides are resources aligned with the Oklahoma Academic Standards and developed specifically for Oklahoma families to complement classroom learning. They illustrate what is expected of students at each grade level in different content areas along with activities families can do at home to further support children's learning experiences.

Please click on the photo below to access the full set of family guides! This is valuable information that we encourage every parent to review! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
