Pierre Lamarche is inducted into the Burlington Sports Hall of Fame
We congratulate Pierre Lamarche, founder of ACE Tennis Academy and a leader in Canadian tennis development for the last 40 years, on being inducted into the 2019 Burlington Sports Hall of Fame. The event was held at the Burlington Golf & Country Club, Tuesday May 28 th. Pierre is pictured here with his longtime friend, partner and President of ACE Tennis Doug Burke.
Pierre's various endeavours includes a Junior Canadian Championship title, the launch of his highly successful “All Canadian Sports Management Inc" company which specializes in sport facility management, being the initial Tournament Director for the Canadian Open in Montreal, a founding member of the Coaches Association of Ontario, the Canadian Professional Coaches Association and the International Tennis Federation Coaches Commission. He served as a consultant for Tennis Canada (1988-1996) while helping shape the systematic approach to tennis development which has become the Canadian tennis trademark in elevating the performance of Canada internationally. He served Canadian Davis Cup and Fed Cup captain, and was the team leader for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Pierre and the All Canadian [ACE] programs have been associated with an Olympic Gold medalist, over 12 Davis and Fed Cup team members and players who won more than 150 National Junior Championships. If you ask him; one of the accomplishments he is most proud of are the more than 200 graduates who have received scholarships at prestigious American Universities and the over 100 former Ace players and/or coaches that are currently leading the development of the sport in the country.
