It is hard to give, hard to receive and rare to find in this broken world. I was gifted a book at the end of last school year entitled Everyday Grace by Jessica Thompson. This book meant a lot to me, so much that I gave everyone on our faculty and staff a copy to read over the summer. Some of the faculty have been using snippets during our morning devotions and I have enjoyed the truths that we are learning. Grace is hard. We know our own hearts and how broken we are. It is hard to accept grace from our God. Grace is hard. It is hard to accept grace from those that we have wronged.  Grace is hard. It is difficult to give when we have been wronged. For me, it is easier to extend grace when I sense genuine repentance or contrition, but difficult if I don’t. I came across this truth this summer as I was preparing for devotions, “Grace isn’t fair, but it’s always right.” (Rick Chromey, KidZ At Heart ) I think about this often as grace really isn’t fair.  It isn’t fair that my Savior had to die for me. It isn’t fair when someone I love wrongs me and there is no consequence. It isn’t fair when a student wrongs another and there appears to be no consequence. It really just isn’t fair….it is grace!!
Let’s strive to receive and give more grace this school year.

Romans 11:6, NIV : "And if by grace, then it cannot be based on works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace."

Why do we do chapel offerings?
To thank God for our many blessings and to share with others who are in need. If I can answer any questions about chapel or offering do not hesitate to ask.
