As the Jacob's Pillow community mourns the loss of the Doris Duke Theatre in a catastrophic fire, we take inspiration from one of the Pillow's leading lights, Jess Meeker. With a new podcast drawing heavily on Meeker's own reminiscences as well as a Playlist concentrating entirely on piano music (including many Meeker performances), we celebrate an extraordinary artist who was an integral part of the Pillow for more than 65 years. In times like these, it's comforting to remember those who endured many hardships to create the Jacob's Pillow we know today. I hope these new online resources will be restorative as we enter a week of Thanksgiving. —
