Pima County provider services after 10/1/2018

Applicable to: Mercy Care Long Term Care, Division of Developmental Disabilities, and Mercy Care Advantage (for members in Pima County)
We've recently received several questions concerning the denial of services by providers to members in Pima County. As indicated in previous correspondence with the implementation of Mercy Care Complete Care, provider services are still contractually obligated by providers for the following lines of business in Pima County:

  • Mercy Care Long Term Care
  • Division of Developmental Disabilities
  • Mercy Care Advantage is still available as a Medicare health plan option for individuals who are eligible for ALTCS and DDD Medicaid coverage and live in Pima County.

The above lines of business are separate from the Mercy Care Complete Care and Mercy Care RBHA lines of business (only provided in Maricopa County). Providers are contractually obligated to provide covered services in Pima County for Mercy Care Long Term Care, Division of Developmental Disabilities and Mercy Care Advantage.

It's important to remember when checking eligibility that you also check to see what line of business the member is covered under. This will clarify whether you are required to provide services to our members.

As always, don't hesitate to contact your Provider Relations Representative with any questions or comments. You can find this notice and all other provider notices posted on our website .

Thanks for all you do!
