Read Better Be Better has partnered with the San Tan Valley Library to implement a reading comprehension program. We are calling for Young Readers & Teen Leaders to join this program to strengthen reading comprehension in Young Readers and leadership skills in Teen Leaders by becoming mentors to children struggling with reading! This program is for Young Readers in 2nd - 4th grade and Teen Leaders ages 14 - 18. Register Today!

Season 2 of Virtual Story Time with Ms. Jasmine features TUMBLE BOOKS!


The Tumble Book Library is a curated database of children’s e-books, made available by the Pinal County Library District. Tumble Book Library has over 1100 titles for grades K-6, and includes our unique animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books, non fiction books and videos!

UofA teaches kids about healthy food choices

At this event: University of Arizona nutrition outreach specialist Maira with hands-on activities, healthy snacks, and recipes to try at home!

Join us after story time to learn more about how to get all the macro and micro nutrients needed to grow big and strong!

U of A nutrition outreach specialist Maira will be visiting with snacks, activities, and recipes to help children ages 2-10 to learn about how to pick and prepare healthy foods.

San Tan Valley Library is excited to launch a partnership with Read Better, Be Better, a reader comprehension improvement program that pairs 2-4 grade students with teen (students aged 14 - 18) volunteers who will mentor their partners while gaining leadership experience.  

The program will begin on January 16th and run through March 6th. Participants will be expected to attend twice a week (Tuesday and Thursdays from 4 -5 PM) and parents of the elementary kids are required to remain on site.

Relive the life of Amelia Earhart through interactive storytelling by her 2nd cousin!

Presented by Nancy Earhart Burt

During the first half of the program, "Amelia" will arrive and share highlights of her amazing life story. After Amelia leaves, her cousin Nancy will step in to share the rest of the story. Nancy will present an interesting and educational slideshow of Amelia Earhart's life, including audio and video clips.

The Winter Lecture Series continues every Tuesday in January and February 2025. The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Apache Junction Public Library and Oak Street Health.

The library will be putting on several short puppet shows based on picture books, such as, "Where's My Mother?" by Julia Donaldson, and other fun stories. Afterwards, children will be making their own simple puppet to take home!

But what if you can't find what you're looking for, or something doesn't seem to work right?


Just like at your local library, you can ask a Librarian! Just click the "Ask A Question" button in the center of the screen on our homepage and fill out the online form. Send us a description of what you need or what went wrong, and staff at Pinal County Library District will get back to you by phone or email (your choice) to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue.


Please note that staff are only available during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm. Questions submitted after hours or on weekends will be answered the following business day.
