WARMTH TREE Each holiday season, the City of Lenexa’s We Care Committee encourages residents, visitors and employees to donate hats, socks, mittens, gloves and scarves at warmth trees across the city. From Dec. 2-31, you’ll find warmth trees at the following locations: • City Hall, 17101 W. 87th St. Pkwy. • Rec Center, 17201 W. 87th St. Pkwy. • Community Center, 12420 Oak St. • Senior Center, 13425 Walnut St. • Municipal Services Service Center, 7700 Cottonwood St. • Police Department, 12500 W. 87th St. Pkwy. • Fire Station 3, 24000 Prairie Star Parkway All proceeds benefit SAFEHOME , Sunflower House and the Shawnee Mission School District clothing store .
