Dear Parents,
As we previously mentioned, the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority has stated that with our online learning platform in place, we will not have to extend our school year to make-up for missed days of instruction.
However, with that news came the added task of tracking attendance starting today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020
. It is our goal to make this as easy as possible. Students can do the work anytime during the day and we will even extend time over the weekend. For example, for this Wednesday through Friday, (3 days of instruction) students will have Wednesday through midnight on Sunday to complete the three days of work. For next week, (March 23-29) students will need to log five days of instruction starting Monday, March 23 through midnight on March 29, 2020. If students start earlier than Monday March 23, 2020, on Week #2’s assignments, they will need to wait until Monday, March 23, to log their attendance.
To log attendance, students will need to click on their homeroom teacher’s picture on the “Faculty” page on our school’s website. Once there, click on “Link to Attendance Log.” The form will appear:

Select homeroom teacher from drop down menu

Select student name from drop down menu
·
Indicate the date work was completed
·
Click on what tasks were complete that day -click on all the tasks that apply
·
Hit submit.
You are done for tracking attendance for that day. You will need to do this three times for this first week and five times for each week moving forward. You need to do this for each day you complete work, even if it is a Saturday or Sunday. If you do not complete this form, you will be marked absent.
