May 10: Gateway Master Plan Open House

Please join Forward Pinellas, Agency Partners and their consultant team, led by WRT, for the first public Open House to launch the Gateway Master Planning process. Pinellas Small Business Enterprise Local Conversation - Recap
On April 19th, small business owners and representatives from across Pinellas joined County representatives to discuss the successes and challenges of doing business with Pinellas County Government. St. Petersburg College's Collaborative Lab hosted the event and guided participants through activities to establish future goals and solutions. Our thanks to all who helped make this event a success! Vacancies announced for CareerSource Pinellas Board of Directors
Applications are now being accepted for appointments to the CareerSource Pinellas Board of Directors. All positions are reviewed and appointed by the Pinellas Board of County Commissioners. These are volunteer positions. Specific Local Board Membership requirements can be found at www.pinellascounty.org/boards/pdf/careersource_board_requirements.pdf .  Mandatory applications can be found at www.pinellascounty.org/boards and must be received no later than May 29, 2018, at 3 p.m. Business owners and executive of firms providing employment opportunities within in-demand industry sectors or occupations in Pinellas County are encouraged to apply. All business applicants must upload with their application a letter of nomination from a local business organization, such as a chamber of commerce or business trade association.
 
Pinellas Voice of the Customer Survey
Tell us how we're doing! Pinellas County citizens can provide feedback on recent contact with Pinellas County Government through a brief online survey. "A top priority for Pinellas County is to deliver first class services to the public and our customers," said Pinellas County Commission Chairman Kenneth T. Welch. "Getting direct feedback from our citizens is key to ensuring we provide that level of service across all of our departments."  Pinellas County provides a range of essential services every day in the community, such as water utilities, mosquito control, animal services, park maintenance, roadway improvements and much more.

The Voice of the Customer Survey only takes a few minutes and can be accessed at www.pinellascounty.org/voice. Citizens will be asked to select which department they have recently had contact with before answering questions. 
 
Lunch Pals Celebration & Leadership Development Summit: May 30
 
Pinellas County Schools' Lunch Pals mentoring program has changed the lives of 1,000 kids! To thank its corporate and organizational partners, and to extend the program, Lunch Pals invites you to a Celebration and Leadership Development Summit on May 30, from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m., at Raymond James, 880 Carillon Parkway, Towers 3-4, in St. Petersburg. Preview: RFN for Pinellas County's STAR Center

 

Later this month, Pinellas County will seek new buyers for the STAR Center, a 96-acre manufacturing and technology campus on Bryan Dairy Road. The Request for Negotiation (RFN) process will solicit bids for the 662,000 (approx.) square-foot complex that includes eight buildings and nearly 7 acres of developable land. Stay tuned for the forthcoming RFN announcement and visit PCED.org/STARCenter to learn more about this property.
