Tampa Bay Innovation Center Announces 2019 Cohort of Startups
Seven Tampa Bay startups have been selected for the Tampa Bay Innovation Center's 2019 Accelerator cohort:
These startups will receive specific training and mentoring in customer discovery, investor-readiness and leadership over the next 90 days. "At the Tampa Bay Innovation Center, we have been focused on supporting technology entrepreneurs and innovators for more than 16 years. We are excited to work with the founders in this cohort who are innovating solutions for the future," said Tonya Elmore, President & CEO of the Tampa Bay Innovation Center.

Pinellas County Beach Business Hurricane Summit
On Oct. 23, Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce held a Beach Business Hurricane Summit. Panelists from
Pinellas County Emergency Management, Pinellas County Economic Development, the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce, Visit St. Petersburg-Clearwater, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Duke Energy, and Pinellas County Marketing and Communications discussed hurricane preparation and recovery for businesses located in our beach communities. St. Petersburg College Collaborative Labs staff facilitated the summit, in which participants were polled on topics pertaining to activities and concerns before, during and after a storm.
