In Fiscal Year 2024, Pinellas County Economic Development’s collective efforts resulted in more than 2,000 local jobs created or retained, more than $95 million in capital investment, and almost $110 million in contracts awarded to small businesses. Through strategic initiatives, innovative partnerships, and targeted programs, we successfully attracted new investments, supported local businesses, and enhanced workforce development. Gibbs High School Business Pitch Day

Congratulations to all the students, staff and judges that participated in Gibbs High School Business Pitch Day on Jan. 21. Pinellas County Economic Development's Office of Small Business and Supplier Diversity, the Florida SBDC at Pinellas County, and Gibbs High School professors partnered to host the event at which students from the school's 3DE/BETA Program showcased their business ideas, met with industry professionals, and enjoyed a Q&A with entrepreneurial experts. The next step is Market Day for these brilliant ideas. The future looks bright for these young entrepreneurs!

SelectFlorida's ABC’s of Exporting Roadshow: Feb. 19 in Tampa

This event will be a valuable opportunity for participants to gain insights into export readiness, identify top foreign markets, and learn effective market entry strategies.
