Are You Ready to Go Over the Edge for Our Cause?
When the organizers of the renowned Over the Edge experience contacted us about being one of just two nonprofits in the Carolinas they were ready to mobilize for, we said, "YES! Let's do this!" So on June 1, 2019, Over the Edge is coming to Charlotte, setting up their equipment on the rooftop of the Hyatt House uptown, and providing a life-changing experience, as well as an exciting opportunity to raise funds to expand the ways we serve our mission at the Pink House!

Strengthening Our Support Program
We were founded on the idea of breast cancer Survivors supporting each other with uplift, insight, and the compassion that comes from being on a common journey. Two of the primary ways we deliver this support are our mentoring program and our support gatherings at the Pink House.

And now, we are bringing some of those elements together to make our support sessions even stronger for Survivors, whether they are newly diagnosed or long-time Survivors and Thrivers.

On February 14, a dozen Survivors came to the Pink House for an education session on "Heart Health & Breast Cancer," led by Dr. Zimmern from Levine Cancer Center. It was our way of caring for our Survivors' hearts on Valentine's Day!

Strength Training with Confidence
This class, set to fun music, is designed to introduce proper strength training techniques--particularly for survivors who have limited their activity after breast surgery, especially in the upper body. This will help open your chest wall and rebuild upper-body strength after your surgery site or sites have healed.

Young Survivors' Night
Topic: Fertility, Surrogacy, and Adoption
Young Survivors' Night brings together Survivors 45 or under for peer support and discussion of topics relevant to their journey. March's panel discussion is on fertility, surrogacy, and adoption. Meet and mingle at 6PM. Discussion starts at 6:30PM.

Inspiration Matters
February is National Heart Health Month, making it a fitting time for a Survivor Spotlight on Stuart Cojac , who has his heart to thank for early detection and treatment of his breast cancer. And speaking of thanks, we're so thankful for the ways Stuart shares his time and talent with us by teaching our Jewelry Making Class, the next of which happens March 18 at the Pink House!
