Waterfront Construction Update

Waterfront Seattle continues to make progress on improvements in Pioneer Square. The new intersection at S Main St and Occidental Park shown in the right allows for shorter and more accessible crossings for people walking. The reconfiguration features new metal bollards on both sides of the street. Similar improvements are being constructed on the north side of Occidental Park on S Washington St.

Work continues on S Washington between 1st Ave S and Occidental Ave. A full closure to vehicle traffic on S Washington St between 1st Ave S continues with access for people walking maintained. S King St remains open to vehicle traffic, and a new island is being installed in the pedestrian crossing on S King St.

The project is on track to be substantially completed before Thanksgiving. To receive weekly construction updates, please sign up here. If you have any questions, you can reach the Waterfront Seattle team at 206-499-8040 or info@waterfrontseattle.org
