Piperacillin-tazobactam MTS™
Liofilchem has received clearance from the FDA to market in the United States the Piperacillin-tazobactam 0.016/4-256/4 MTS™ (MIC Test Strip), a patented quantitative assay for determining the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of piperacillin-tazobactam.
MTS™ TZP can be used to determine the MIC of piperacillin-tazobactam against the following microorganisms for which piperacillin-tazobactam has been shown to be active clinically and/or in vitro according to the FDA drug approved label:
Enterobacterales, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii

O.A. Listeria Agar
Chromogenic medium for the detection of L. monocytogenes
O.A. Listeria Agar is a chromogenic medium used for the selective isolation, differentiation and enumeration of Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria spp. from clinical, food and other samples.
This medium complies with the formulation of Ottaviani and Agosti recommended in ISO 11290 (both parts), FDA-BAM and APHA.

D-value verification
Liofilchem performs D-Value and Z-Value analysis by direct inoculation of product or equipment using Biological Indicator Organisms (BI's).
D-values are stated by the manufacturer on the Biological indicator but often require verification for a higher degree of accuracy and process specificity. The Pharmacopoeias and ISO11138 stress on the importance of D-value verification to ensure the accuracy of a stated manufacturer D-value.

Our Biological Indicator Evaluation Resistometer (BIER) Vessel autoclave verifies the D-value by accurately delivering a calibrated and pre-determined level of lethality.
The log reduction achieved for exposure time is assessed through the exposure of the BI for defined time points and interpretation via fractional analysis. This process allows the accurate verification of the manufacturer’s stated D-value.
