In this week's edition:
Message from Dr. Hewitt:
The SISD Board of Managers passed a referral stipend of $1500 if a staff member (criteria listed) successfully refers a teacher and we hire them. In other words, if you know someone is teaching in another district and convince them that Pirate Nation is the place to be and we hire them - well, we will be writing you a check. As with anything, there are a few stipulations, but we all know that word of mouth works the best. AND, why not pay for it...RIGHT!

Do you want to know how the ESSER funds Shepherd ISD received from the federal government will be spent?

Shepherd I.S.D. Spotlight

Valerie Aguero
Shepherd Primary School- First Grade Classroom Teacher

Shepherd ISD would like to congratulate Miss Valerie Aguero on her accomplishments. We are so proud of you for your success on becoming a certified teacher in the state of Texas.
"Thank you to Shepherd ISD for helping me along the way by being supportive in anything I have needed when it came to me being successful in college. I could not have done it without the support from my principal and campus admin team. They have been extremely helpful, motivating and encouraging. Anything I needed for school from observation hours, to student teaching I could count on my campus principal to work around my work schedule to help me get my coursework done. I could not have been successful in graduating without their support and encouragement along the way. So thank you, Shepherd ISD!"
