Pirates Lead SBC Lake With Football Honors

Perkins quarterback Logan Lesch has led the Pirates to a 10-1 record on the field this season. On Tuesday, he led his teammates with a wave of SBC Lake Division recognition – and was named SBC Lake Division Most Outstanding Performer. He was also named to the SBC Lake Division's First Team Offense.

More than a dozen other Pirates also received conference accolades:

First-Team Defense

• D-Line: Jayden Rowe
• Linebacker: Mike Young

• Specialist: Jon Normington-Slay

Second-Team Offense

• Receiver: Weston Sturzinger
• Receiver: Jayden Rowe
• Running Back: Isaac Bunts
• Guard: Gavin Papineau
• Tackle: Haiden Bollini

Second-Team Defense

• D-Line: Austin Yoakum
• D-Line: Drake Venerucci 

Honorable Mention Defense 

• D-Line: Ben Meggitt

Anything But A Backpack ...

Well, it's not your typical Hallmark sort of holiday, but Pirates celebrated "Anything But A Backpack" day on Tuesday. Instead of lugging books, rulers, and calculators in their utilitarian rucksacks, they opted for less traditional means.

Playoff Football Tickets Available Online

The Pirates will host Van Wert Cougars at  7 p.m. on Friday in the second round of the OHSAA football playoffs. And, the only place to get tickets is online. 

Tickets are on sale and can only be purchased online at ohsaa.org/tickets. Click on the Region 14 link. There will be no cash sales at the gate or pre-sale tickets. 

Please note: Perkins Athletic passes will NOT be accepted. Everyone must buy a ticket, but all reserved seats will be honored for all home playoff games.

Bah, Humbug! Get Your Name In The Fall Play Program

The PHS Drama Club will present the 2022 Fall Play Production, A

Christmas Carol. Performances will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, and Friday, November 18. You know this familiar story, but our Pirate Thespians will put their fun spin on the popular tale. 

Help the Drama Club offset the cost of the production by sponsoring the program. Sponsorship levels are $20, $40, $60, and $80.
