We have reached the year’s halfway point and, along with the rest of the market, are already looking back at some of 2019’s biggest wins. The second quarter marked a number of personal and professional successes for Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP (Pircher) and its attorneys. In April, the quarter kicked off with Pircher once again being ranked in one of the world’s most respected legal guides, and that momentum continued with a number of industry recognitions for our partners through June.

From significant deal closings to a basketball championship, we’re proud of all that our attorneys accomplished over the last three months. Most importantly, we’re looking forward to the opportunities our team will have to represent our clients in their key projects in the second half of 2019.
Phil Nichols Honored by USC Gould
Attorneys from Pircher joined more than 500 Los Angeles real estate professionals in downtown LA on April 11 for USC Gould School of Law’s annual Real Estate Law and Business Forum. This year marked Phil Nichols' final year as co-chair of the Forum, a position he has held since 2008. His service was recognized with a memento presented at the Forum leadership dinner that preceded the event.

The Pircher team was once again busy attending a variety of industry events throughout the second quarter. From Bisnow’s Greater Los Angeles Capital Markets & Real Estate Finance event in early April to Commercial Real Estate Finance Summit - West and Commercial Observer ’s inaugural Spring Financing Commercial Real Estate Forum , our partners took a number of opportunities to connect with leaders in real estate and discuss market factors impacting the sector.

In addition, Pircher partners Aimee Contreras-Camua and Erin Natter gave an encore presentation of their Strafford CLE webinar entitled “ Commercial Mortgage Modifications: Lien Priority, Title Insurance and Bankruptcy Issues ” in April.
Dirt Dribblers Win Championship
In May, Pircher's basketball team, the Dirt Dribblers, took home the Landau Lawyers League championship for the Spring season. The win marked the team's second league championship in a row.

Congratulations to the team (pictured from left to right: Kaleb Keller, Jojo Maximo, Matt Schroeder, Mike Seiden, Doug Merkel, Peter Davis and Jonathon Kim). We look forward to cheering them on to a three-peat next season!
