As we look to the end of 2019, Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP (Pircher) is happy to share with you some highlights from a busy third quarter—from industry recognitions for our partners to an “ End of Summer Cocktail Party ” that we hosted in Chicago.

As a premier real estate law firm with a national practice, Pircher works on a wide variety of sophisticated real estate transactions throughout the country. This year, the firm has worked with clients to close an array of acquisition, sale, financing and joint venture transactions of varying sizes, types and asset classes.

In recent months, Pircher has notably represented:
An opportunity fund in connection with the purchase and financing of 33 net leased properties, representing a variety of asset classes, located across the U.S. and Canada for a purchase price of approximately $1.5 billion dollars.
Three significant joint venture acquisitions of multifamily and office properties in major metro areas—Southern California and greater Atlanta—with property values totaling nearly $300 million. 
A private equity fund manager in connection with the acquisition of a development project in an opportunity zone in Southern California which is set to be a 150,000-square-foot, mixed-use creative office.

The construction financing for a mega office campus in Northern California, totaling more than $500 million, in addition to advisement on local counsel matters for the lender.

The borrower in connection with a CMBS loan comprising $185 million of mortgage debt and $65 million of mezzanine debt, secured by a recently redeveloped historic office building in San Francisco.

An opportunity fund as the buyer/landlord/borrower in connection with a $325 million sale-leaseback transaction involving 11 outdoor sports retail properties across nine states, as well as acquisition mortgage financing.
A commercial real estate investment company on its sale to a private equity real estate investment management firm of a Class A industrial property portfolio of over six million square feet, nearly 100% leased, across nine markets in five states.
An institutional investor in connection with the formation of a programmatic venture with a local operating partner and the acquisition by the venture of six light industrial flex properties in a major Midwest metro area totaling more than 600,000 square feet.
In September, a large contingent of attorneys from the Pircher team traveled to Chicago to reconnect with the firm’s valued clients and friends in the area. Pircher also hosted an "End of Summer Cocktail Party" on Sept. 25 at AceBounce Ping Pong Bar & Restaurant in The Loop.
