Pircher’s national real estate practice has continued to work on a wide variety of real estate transactions throughout the country in the last quarter. With the ongoing market challenges presented by 2020, clients have turned to Pircher’s attorneys for counsel and support to close an array of acquisition, sale, financing and joint venture transactions of varying sizes, types and asset classes.
In recent months, Pircher has notably represented:
A real estate fund as the seller in a $180 million transaction which involved the sales of five apartment complexes in the Southwest and included both Fannie Mae loan assumptions and Sellers’ 1031 exchanges
A global investment management firm in the removal from three joint ventures of its former partner, after a receiver was appointed for such partner, including representing the client in the $75 million buyout of the membership interests in such joint ventures
The lender in a more than $50 million loan secured by a luxury RV park in Arizona for senior citizens
As digital events continue to move forward in lieu of in-person gatherings, Pircher team members have taken the opportunity to participate in recent conferences. Notably, partner Steve Carey joined the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) Fall Meeting, held online for the first time from Oct. 6-9, 2020. In addition to annual business initiatives, the event included educational programming and virtual networking opportunities.
Pircher partner, Ariel Robinson, recently participated in an online panel discussion hosted by UCLA Law’s Real Estate Law Association (RELA) on Thursday, Oct. 15 from 12:15-1:30 p.m. Pacific Time. She was joined by industry professionals to discuss the impacts of COVID-19 on the real estate industry, moderated by Joel Feuer, Executive Director of the Lowell Milken Institute for Business Law and Policy at UCLA Law.
