Pitaya Entertainment (“Pitaya”), one of the leading Latino podcasts networks in the world, has struck a groundbreaking strategic alliance with Dixo, the first ever podcast company in Mexico. The arrangement will see Pitaya handling the worldwide distribution and monetization of Dixo’s key podcast series, including Factor Kaiser and Fuera de la Caja.
Dixo, founded and run by Dany Saadia, pioneered podcasting in Mexico beginning in 2005 and has produced and curated informative, diverse and practical podcasts hosted by some of Mexico’s top thought leaders and media personalities. To date, Dixo has developed more than 10,000 productions that span genres and categories, including science fiction, film, economics, literature, politics, wellness, sports and more. Dixo has also produced popular limited series and has been a leader in the production of branded podcasts for Mexican brands, such as Librerías Gandhi.
“Everyone knows that Pitaya is the industry-leading platform for podcast distribution and monetization in Mexico and the United States,” said Dany Saadia, founder and president of Dixo. “They have an impressive entrepreneurial spirit and a very innovative market approach: they do things that no one else does. And that's why I’m so happy to start working with them. I’m very excited about this next chapter for Dixo, especially now that we are turning 20 and we’re getting into Web3, the most innovative space available today,” he added.
Said Jordi Oliveres, Co-Founder and General Manager; “Dixo and Dany Saadia saw the potential of the Mexican podcast market before many people even knew what a podcast was. Almost two decades after Dixo’s launch, it is still creating cutting edge, important podcasts. We couldn’t be happier that Dixo and Dany have entrusted us with the distribution and ad sales of their shows.”
Dixo’s podcasts are available for free on all major podcast apps, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music, as well as on YouTube.
