Grant opportunity from Boss Network - This business development program is designed to support 25 Black women entrepreneurs with grants and access to monthly mentoring by Sage. The goal of this online program is to help start and grow businesses.

SBIG : Small Business Investment Grant
|
|
Investors or business owners, subject to Virginia state tax, that have made cash or subordinated debt investments in companies that have less than $5M in sales or received less than $5M in total investment may be eligible to apply for grants of up to $50,000 per business, totaling up to $250,000 for multiple business investments.
These grants are available until the money is exhausted.

Hear from the USPTO as they cover everything a startup should know in order to protect their intellectual property. This will include several examples from the life sciences and healthcare, but the information will be relevant to all early-stage companies. Following the initial presentation, there will be breakout sessions to cover specific topic areas in more detail. These will be led by an ICAP Mentor and USPTO expert.

Charlottesville City Market has partnered with the Community Investment Collaborative (CIC), Central Virginia Small Business Development Center (CV SBDC), and Office of Economic Development to grow your business's customer base. City Market introduces LaunchPad, an opportunity for affiliated businesses to table at the City Market free of charge. Get your business in front of the community and gain direct feedback from customers. Each week the City Market attracts 2,000 patrons; local families, seniors, students, and tourists. LaunchPad will be open to any business type; typical restrictions for only homegrown, homecooked, and handmade products do not apply. LaunchPad exhibitors will rotate in and out each week to give more opportunity to more entrepreneurs.
