New research at CMU using Pitt Social Work report
CMU student Alex Jackson's work on why systems are failing Black residents is using the 2019 Gender Equity Report, co-authored by Associate Professor Sara Goodkind, to tackle problems in Pittsburgh disproportionally affecting Black people and other people of color. Alumna to join California Social Work Hall of Distinction
Doctoral alumna Tetsu Sugi will be inducted in this year's California Social Work Hall of Distinction (virtual) Ceremony Sunday, October 18th at 3pm PDT/6pm EDT. The University of Pittsburg School of Social Work program was one of the few programs to accept Japanese American students during World War II. Read more about her fascinating life of service.
