Fall Brochure

October_newsletter_header_p1.png

Thank you to Optalis Health & Rehab, sponsors of this year's Line Dancer Luncheon.

October is one of our favorite months of the year! Parks & Rec hosts Creatures of the Night in Lillie Park and the Senior Health & Resource Fair at the Community/Senior Center. This year we'll have 35+ vendors with scores of prizes and a drug takeback. Also this year, we are welcoming the Washtenaw Co Health Dept (WCHD) to administer Flu, COVID, PCV and Shingrix vaccines. If you plan to receive a vaccination, please stop by the office for your WCHD Registration Form or download it from the DaySmart registration page. This form must be completed before receiving a vaccine. Registration is required for this event.

Construction Updates and Important Program Information

The new parking lot construction well underway. Once finished, the east side parking will be an employee lot, and the west side parking lot is for program participants and parks dept vehicles.

Interior construction on the new educational space began on August 10th and is expected to last until October 10th. We truly appreciate your patience during this process. Once the new space is complete with two new restrooms, phase two involves renovating the restrooms in the lobby. We anticipate phase two construction should be complete by the end of the year. While we anticipate having normal programming during the construction, we may find that some weeks will prove difficult due to the noise.

We will be communicating with each roster as schedule changes relate to each individual program. It is vitally important to make sure you are registered for all programs you attend so we can keep you informed. Also, please note the location of your programs when you register. Some programs will be moved to the Administration Building at 6201 W Michigan Ave. or Montibeller Park Pavilion while we undergo construction.

Membership information:

2026 Annual Membership fees are not prorated (Jan 1 - Dec 31).

  • $5 for our Pittsfield Township residents or $10 for non-residents
  • Membership fees are paid once per year.
  • Program registration is required 3x/year starting on 12/1, 3/1 and 8/1.
