(January 5, 2022) The Rochester City School District will pivot to remote learning beginning tomorrow, Thursday, January 6. This is a temporary measure, as the limited number of staff and shortage of substitutes directly impacts the District's ability to educate and transport children in a safe, efficient, and orderly manner.
On Thursday, January 6, all students will engage in an asynchronous learning day by logging onto Google Classroom or Seesaw and completing the work assigned.
On Friday, January 7 and Monday, January 10, students will log onto Google Classroom or Seesaw and follow their schedules via remote learning with their teachers.
NorthSTAR and OACES will remain open for in-person instruction.
The District anticipates a return to in-person learning on Tuesday, January 11 and will provide an update by noon on Monday. During this temporary pivot to remote learning, athletics will continue as scheduled. Coaches will communicate directly with student athletes. Additionally, all out-of-District transportation will continue as planned.

Grab-and-go meals for students will be served at 15 school sites from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please check the District's website for locations.

Vaccine clinics are being held at select schools beginning next week. More information, including the link to schedule an appointment, will be posted on the District's website later this week.
- The District is working with local pediatricians to maximize opportunities to get vaccinated.
