• Last night our Permits & Licenses Committee met and approved what ended up being 1 liquor license application for a new a pizzeria from the owners of Frankies 457 which will be located at 459 Court Street.. The committee’s approval will be up for a vote at our September board meeting.
• School rezoning meeting is tonight Tuesday, August 27^th  at the Red Hook Library.
• Tomorrow night at 165 2nd Street, The Gowanus Dredgers will be hosting an event to commemorate the Battle of Brooklyn and Walt Whitman’s bicentennial.  
• Also tomorrow the 76^th precinct will host a “Build The Block” meeting at Carroll Park and another build the block meeting at the Red Hook Justice Center on September 12th.
• The Department of Buildings has, unfortunately, removed its stop work order and demolition has recommenced at S.W Bowne building at 595 Smith Street.
• The Center for Urban Future on NYC’s infrastructure and a piece on Island’s we may not think about.
• Alternate Side Parking and parking meters will be in effect tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28^th.
• Subway service changes for tomorrow, August 28th.
