New grant program now open! Placer County is a part of the "Upstate California" region. Nevada County Arts Council is administering $3,384,043 in workforce development funds in Northern California for artists, and arts and social service organizations who will employ artists between spring 2023 and spring 2024.

Applications due April 14.

Metal Arts Academy

Born out of a desire to train and educate in the art of fine jewelry fabrication, design and the metal arts, the Metal Arts Academy teaches beginners through advanced artists. It also offers the Goldsmiths Apprentice Program. With support from an ACPC Community Arts Grant, they offer the Larry Van Craeynest Goldsmiths Apprentice Scholarship which

financially supports apprentices in their jewelry journey in a 12 week intensive program working under a master craftsperson.
