Dear Parents,
We now have greater visibility on our gym availability and would like to provide the full tryout schedule for boys grades 3-8. We appreciate your patience while we worked this all out.
Anyone interested in trying out for travel basketball in ANY grade, boys or girls, should complete the online registration immediately, regardless of whether a tryout has been scheduled for your grade yet. There is no commitment, however knowing how many we have in each grade will let us best use our limited resources to fit all in as necessary. THERE WILL BE NO WALK-INS ALLOWED. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER TO TRYOUT.
Boys 5th & 6th Grades:
Monday, October 18 will be BOYS grades 5 & 6 first night of tryouts at Town of Oyster Bay Athletic Center (167 S Broadway, Hicksville, NY 11801)

Boys Grade 5 - please arrive by 545p for sign in. You will be done by 715p.

Boys Grade 6 - please arrive by 700p for sign in. You will be done by 830p.
Thursday, October 21 will be BOYS grades 5 & 6 second night of tryouts at Mattlin Middle School (100 Washington Avenue Plainview, NY 11803.)
- Boys Grade 5 - please arrive at 630p for sign in. You will be done by 800p.

Boys Grade 6- please arrive at 815p for sign in. You will be done by 945p.
You should make a point to attend the first night. If we have a large pre-registration, we may make a cut after the first night in order to allow for proper evaluation of the players who have the highest probability of making the team.
THE 2021-2022 TRYOUTS WILL BE DROP-OFF ONLY. NO PARENTS OR SIBLINGS WILL BE PERMITTED IN ANY GYMS OR BUILDINGS. THIS IS REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS.
ONE LAST, BUT CRITICAL NOTE. COVID HAS CLEARLY COMPLICATED THIS PROCESS. WE ARE SUBJECT TO COVID RESTRICTIONS AS DICTATED BY NASSAU COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, FACILITIES WE ARE USING, AND BY THE POB SCHOOL DISTRICT. THOUGH RESTRICTIONS WILL LIKELY CHANGE AS THE YEAR PROGRESSES, AS OF THIS TIME *ALL* PARTICIPANTS, WHETHER COACH, PLAYERS, PARENTS, TRAINERS OR SIBLINGS, MUST BE MASKED WHILE INSIDE ANY BUILDING, WHETHER POB SCHOOL DISTRICT BUILDING OR TOWN OF OYSTER BAY ATHLETIC CENTER IN HICKSVILLE. REGISTERING YOUR CHILD WILL IMPLY YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF FOLLOWING THESE RULES. THOSE NOT FOLLOWING PLAINVIEW PAL PROCEDURES WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE, WHETHER PLAYER OR PARENT.
