Lighting up the Season
Soak up every glorious fall color by day with the stunning natural displays across 385 acres of the spectacular Chicago Botanic Garden. One of the world's great living museums and conservation science centers, the Garden also illuminates the night with crowd-pleasing special events for Halloween with its glowing, hand-carved pumpkin fest and the dazzling holiday experience that is Lightscape.
Take in a Show with Fall Performing Arts
Live music, comedy and theater are back with shows to get you giggling, toe-tapping and cheering along. Comics from Steven Wright (10/3) to Jane Lynch (10/15) grace the North Shore Center this fall, as well as blues legends Robert Cray (9/17) and Taj Mahal (10/14). Northlight Theater presents a diva tour de force in Songs for Nobodies (9/23-10/31) before their world premier Christmas yarn with Dickensian charm (11/26-1/2). Something Wicked: Stories for Halloween (Starts 10/28) offers four eerie tales as online audio experiences from Writers Theater.
