Important Updates for Operations and Programs

Program Survey

The Program Mini Surveys, which are released in each new FLA, are vital to Supreme to help us gauge the health of each council program. It is very important to complete the survey even if you don’t participate in the subject program. Your reasons for not participating are just as valuable as responses from those participating. The survey data will support decisions to retain, update, or remove certain programs.

Vivat Jesus 2023

Copies of the 2023 edition of the Vivat Jesus prayer planner will be available on Nov. 1, through Supplies Online. This pocket-sized book includes monthly calendars for 2023 along with the Supreme Chaplain’s Monthly Challenges, suggested prayers and devotions, space to develop a personalized prayer plan for each month, and much more! Vivat Jesus 2023 will be available in English and Spanish. A bulk discount will be offered through Supplies Online: 20 books for $100. Plan to order copies for your council and the men of your parish when they become available on Nov. 1.

District Deputy Corner

  • The new online Annual Report on Council Status (#944) was due September 15. DDs are required to submit a report for every council in their district. This includes dormant, inactive, and suspended councils. Submissions are still being accepted and processed. Your reports will help determine the allocation of resources to support you and your councils. Submission of these reports is a requirement for Star District. Thank you to all those district deputies that have already submitted their reports.

Grand Knight

  • Watch this short video on how to run a successful council program.
  • Appoint a committee to work with the Financial Secretary on updating member contact information. It is essential that a council have a valid phone number and email address for every member on the roster. Use personal contacts, parish directories, internet searches, etc. to help gather the information.
  • Complete the Fraternal Benefit Seminar Form (#11077) and submit to your General Agent as soon as possible after participating in an approved seminar.

Financial Secretary

  • If your council accounting period ends June 30, then November 15 is the deadline to ensure that your council submits the proper IRS form 990 (US Councils only). Ensure that this paperwork is filed.

Hockey Challenge

This program can be run at any time of the year, on ice/rink in the winter, or in a parking lot during those warm days.  When councils think about fun, easy-to-run programs during the fall and winter, please consider running the Hockey Challenge program.  For more information about this program, visit kofc.org/hockey. For Hockey pucks, street balls, plaques, medals, or hockey kits, visit Supplies Online via Officers Online. 



Baby Bottles Available!

Knights of Columbus-branded baby bottles, which can be used for baby bottle drives, are now available on Supplies Online in the “Pregnancy Center Support” folder. Supply is limited – order yours today!


March for Life

Visit kofc.org/march for dates of national, state and local marches taking place during the fraternal year. A limited number of event dates have been announced thus far. Sites will be added as they are announced. Please reply with any updates or missing events so they can be added!



Start planning your council’s participation well in advance! The Order’s iconic “Love Life, Choose Life” signs are available for free on Supplies Online. March for Life-related apparel and items can be found at KnightsGear.com or KnightsGear.ca.


ASAP (Aid and Support After Pregnancy)

Since 2020, Blessed Father Solanus Casey Council 17135 in River Falls, Wis., has held an annual Lunch for Life to raise money for Options for Women, a local pregnancy resource center. This year, their $2,000 donation received a 20% boost through the Order’s new ASAP program.
