Dear Community Member,

We are sending a reminder about the Spokane Plan Commission public hearing for the Preferred Alternative of the PlanSpokane 2046 Periodic Update tomorrow, April 14, at 2 p.m.

A special meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Council Chambers on the lower level of City Hall, where the Plan Commission will make a recommendation to City Council on the areas of growth prioritization for the next 20 years.

More information about the proposed Preferred Alternative, including maps and details about the expected types of growth, can be found on the Preferred Alternative StoryMap page

Submit written comments to PlanSpokane@spokanecity.org by 10 a.m. on April 14, 2026, to ensure commissioners have enough time to review. Comments should be as descriptive as possible. Intersection names, maps, specific proposed changes, and other details will help the Plan Commission understand how your comments relate to the proposed growth strategy.

Those wishing to speak at the hearing may sign up using the directions and link in the Plan Commission agenda packet, which is now available on the Plan Commission webpage. Directions on how to sign up are on page 4 of the agenda packet. The Plan Commission hearing will be held in a hybrid in-person/virtual format. Members of the public are welcome to attend in person at City Hall or online using the link in the agenda.
