In the beginning of the year we were able to use our new Digitarium Lambda system for four shows. Sadly the planetarium closed mid March. We look forward to resuming shows at the planetarium when the Juneau School District and the board deem it safe to do so.

Meanwhile we are learning to use the new system. See you next year!

Dec. 14th Total Solar Eclipse
A great total solar eclipse is happening in South America, Dec. 14. It will not be visible in the USA. There will be lots of live streams about the event. See article below. .

Article about Planetarium
We were interviewed by the Pacific Planetarium Association President. He wrote an article in the Great Western Observer called "A True Community Planetarium." It is on page 4.
College Credit Astronomy Course
A new astronomy course (Phys S165-TD01) is being offered online this spring through the University of Alaska Sitka campus and will be taught by planetarium volunteer and board member Rosemary Walling, PhD. This is a 3-credit GER course with no prerequisites. Please contact Rosemary at rswalling@alaska.edu for more information.

New YouTube Channel
Our channel shares information on astronomy topics and Space News.
Mudrooms will support the planetarium
Mudrooms is on Season 10. This season their presentations of personal stories by locals will be recorded beforehand and broadcast on KTOO FM 104.3. In December the theme is "Keep Your Distance".and in February the theme is The theme is "The Goods are Odd." In February, the planetarium will be recipient of donations from attendees.
