Join us as we hear from Jared Oberweis, Esq. from Hinkle Prior and Fischer about how IEPs are developed and how you and your child can take an active part in the IEP process.

Jared B. Oberweis, Esq., concentrates his practice on estate and trust matters, guardianships, and adult services. Jared enjoys ensuring the rights of individuals with disabilities are protected. He writes and speaks on topics concerning the rights of individuals with disabilities and their families. Jared was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and Pennsylvania Bar in 2014 after receiving a Juris Doctorate from Duquesne University School of Law. At Duquesne University School of Law, Jared served on Duquesne Law Review as a Senior Staff Editor. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating Cum Laude. Jared is currently a member of the Mercer County Bar Association and volunteers to provide pro bono services to the local community. Jared and his family actively support the Special Olympics of New Jersey.

The Planning For Adult Life Program (PFAL) provides FREE Hands on Workshops (HOW) presentations with hands-on activities, resources for school classrooms, parent groups, community or civic groups, and professional organizations via the web! Our standard presentation is approximately 45 minutes long and it includes a brief introduction to the PFAL program.
The Arc of New Jersey will host a COVID-19 Vaccine for People with I/DD Webinar
The Arc of New Jersey is delighted to present a free webinar on COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals with I/DD with speaker David Adinaro, MD, M.Eng, FACEP, the New Jersey Department of Health Deputy Commissioner for Public Health Services since June 2020. David has had a long and distinguished medical career, including serving as the Chief of Emergency Medicine and Vice President/Chief Medical Officer at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson. During this webinar, Dr. Adinaro will explain New Jersey's plans for COVID-19 vaccinations for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their caregivers. He will be able to provide important information, including an anticipated timeframe of when and where the COVID-19 vaccine will be available.
