Birthday Bash: Not just for kids

Birthday Bash is for the entire family: kids of all ages and adults, too!

Do you want to experience the thrill of riding a mechanical bull or dodge the hammer while playing Human Whack-a-Mole? These are just two of the many games at the carnival. Don’t miss out on spraying your friends (or your child) with silly string or getting a henna design on your hand. It’s a blast! Join the fun on April 17th at 5:30 p.m.

February CSA & AOC Staff Appreciation Breakfast

It's time to show our CSA and AOC staff how much we appreciate all their hard work. Please volunteer to bring a breakfast item for the February 12 Staff Appreciation Breakfast.

Valentine's Day Dance and Parents' night out

Don't miss the Valentine's Dance on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $5 at the door, and pizza, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Drop off your kids at the dance and then head to The Branch. They are known for their creative menu and craft beer. Join us for a very casual evening of fun, games, conversation, and raffle tickets.

At this event, we will also be collecting wine for our upcoming Birthday Bash Carnival Auction event. Bring a bottle of wine ($25 value or higher) or a SPEC's gift card ($25 value or higher).

Straight Talk at the Capitol: A Matter of Life and Breath

With the U.S. vaping crisis at a dangerous new high among teens, Texas PTA recognizes the urgency to address this critical situation now.

On Feb. 25, beginning at noon, Texas PTA is hosting the first-ever Straight Talk at the Capitol: A Matter of Life and Breath. Two panels will give students, parents, and physicians an opportunity to share their stories and discuss what can be done – at home, in school, and at the state level.

PTAs, families, schools, and all advocates can watch the event LIVE on the Texas PTA Facebook page . Questions will be taken in advance and addressed as time allows. (Submit your question for panelists here .)
