Local Schools Highlight

West Hialeah Gardens Elementary School has been working on their school gardens, planting around their campus and creating art installations with recyclable material!

Students and teachers worked together to plant a butterfly garden as well. This helps to conserve our native butterflies and teaches students about plant and animal interactions.
Miami Gardens Elementary School participated in the GSC's Recycled Samba workshop organized in partnership with Live Arts Miami. Jose Elias, a local artist, visited various classrooms and helped students create instruments out of recycled materials. Students also composed a song together.
